"The food is interesting, fantastically cooked and the staff are friendly. I can't recommend it highly enough if you want to eat Indian in the area. Tricky for me to comment on ambience as I always eat takeaways from Basmati. However I have to go there to pick up and it's in a cellar with a simple attractive arched ceiling"

"This truly is a gemstone of a restaurant. A few friends of mine invited me out to dinner one evening. I was shocked to find out they were taking me to a cellar for dinner. I was so pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was special, the food was second to none, and the sevice was exceptional. We werent rushed all nite even though the restaurant was very busy. It was a Tuesday night and full of diners. The staff were very poilite and friendly. It was one of the best evenings out ive had in a long time. Well done Basmati"
